After the ACFW Conference

For those of you who may not know, I attended the American Christian Fiction Writer's (ACFW) Conference this past weekend. It was a great experience where I met tons of authors and writers who write Christian fiction like me! I also got to meet with a literary agent who told me to submit my book to her when it's finished!! For those unfamiliar with the publishing industry, that's a big deal!

I learned a lot about book proposals and submitting queries for getting an agent. These days, it is practically necessary to have an agent in order to get traditionally published. It is my goal to get my work in progress traditionally published, so, once I complete my manuscript, I'll begin shopping for and querying agents.

If you'd like to stay up to date on my writing process, be sure to subscribe to this monthly blog! I will be doing a combination of life updates, devotional touch-points, and providing updates on my latest work in progress!

Unfortunately, I cannot offer any specific details about my current book at this time. I am entering it into the ACFW First Impressions contest, and as such can't have information about it online that would allow the judges to associate it with me. But when the contest ends in December, I'll be happy to give more details to you all!

Until next month, be sure to check me out on Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok @cassandraspocket . See you soon!
